1. Search engine optimisation. SEO is the art of tweaking your website’s code and content to achieve higher search engine rankings. There are literally thousands of websites on SEO which can help you master the art and have your site ranking in no time.

2. Links, links, links. Backlinks are the staple of all good internet marketing campaigns and are closely linked with SEO. Good quality, on-topic backlinks will increase your search engine rankings and might even give you a small traffic boost at the same time.

3. Comment on blogs. Many blogging platforms allow visitors to leave comments which can often contain keyword-rich links in the form of URLs and names. However, some blogs use the ‘nofollow’ attribute on links which will render any link credit null and avoid, so these types of links are best avoided.

4. Post on forums. Many forums allow you to include links in your signature, which may pass on link credit. If they don’t, it’s likely that the main body text of forum posts may still pass on link credit. Be sure to become a forum regular before using links or you may get banned.

5. Tweet it. Twitter is a great social media tool and is ideal for marketing your product to potential new customers. Don’t just set up a bland company account, though, because no-one will be interested. Make it fun and interesting. Try running competitions or viral events.

6. Create a Facebook page. Facebook is another great social marketing tool. Create a page for your business or flagship product and run competitions and events through Facebook. People can become ‘fans’ of your business or product and share it with their friends.

7. Link from your email signature. An email signature link can be a valuable marketing tool and takes no time at all to set up. You’d be surprised at how many new customers are picked up this way and it’s all 100% pure profit. No outlay in time, effort or money.

8. Get some email marketing software. This type of software is often inexpensive and the returns can be very valuable indeed. You can keep in touch with customers and promote your bargains or even approach new customers with discounts and offers.

9. Pay-per-click advertising. Google’s Adwords program allows you to place an advert within the search results. When a user clicks on that advert and comes to your website, you’re charged a small amount on your Adwords account. Coupled with SEO, this is a great marketing tool.

10. Don’t overdo it. SEO is a delicate art. If you go too far, you could be banned from the major search engines. Don’t overuse Twitter, either. People can easily become annoyed and may ‘unfollow’ you, rendering them no longer a potential customer.

With these internet marketing tips at your fingertips, internet marketing success is only a small amount of effort away.

 There is no way around it – keyword research is the very
foundation of every good marketing business.

I’ll admit that when I got started, keyword research was
always at the bottom of my to-do list. I almost never seemed
to get to it on time. That’s obviously changed over the years,
because to be an affiliate, you’d better have some fantastic
keyword lists.
The reason why so much importance is placed on keywords is
because they are the only way your website can be found by
prospective customers. Since it is keywords that increase web
traffic to your site, it is only fair that the maximum effort must
be directed towards finding the right ones. It is always better
to use key phrases rather than single keywords because single key
words will be too generic and bring up billions of irrelevant
results.

Search engines prefer key phrase searches so that they can
produce relevant results. Another reason for using key phrases
is that in Internet marketing, it is always better to focus on a
target market to offer your products or services to.

I like to get started in the Google Keyword Tool – it’s free,
easy to use and has a decent amount of data to draw from.
Like most free keyword tools it’s not 100% accurate and
its based on PPC data, so if you’re working on an organic
campaign, it’s not going to be exactly what you’re looking for,
but it’s a great  place to start.

To get started, visit Google Keyword Tool  and enter a basic
term or phrase into the search tool. You can enter multiple
long tail terms, but for now, just one will do. I’ll use
“lose weight” as an example. The top level of search results
will be terms that use the basic term, and will include things
like:

* How to lose weight
* Lose weight fast
* Lose belly weight

You just want to know how many people are searching.

Next, scroll down a bit and see what “additional keywords to
consider” Google has selected. These are syntax related terms
and might include phrases like:

*  How to burn fat
*  Weight loss tips
*  Get thin fast
*  Muscle building tips.

Just to  illustrate how big a difference doing  broad and targeted
keyword research makes, take a look at my example of two
businesses in the same niche.

If there are two business owners both targeting the health field.
They both have a revolutionary system that allows people to eat
almost anything they want and they lose weight. Not only that,
it’s healthy and sustainable in the long run. (Sounds to good to
be true to me) but lets go with it ….

Example #1
Sam, the first business owner, decides that his product
is so good that he doesn’t need to do keyword research. His
product will speak for itself …right?

He decides to just create a website about  weight loss,
talking about his product and selling his product. Developing his
website takes about 40 hours (or cost him about $2,000 if he
chose to pay for having it designed for him.)

Creating his product took about 100 hours. He put another
50 hours or so into promoting his website. Then, after putting
in 200 hours and hundreds if not thousands of dollars in
investment, only then would Sam realize that he’s not getting
any traffic.

In fact, his website is buried beneath 20 pages of competition
on Google!

Even after putting a ton of work into getting backlinks, he’s not
going to get any traffic, because the keywords he selected
were simply too competitive.

He’s up against people with millions of dollars for ad budgets.
Businesses that have entire marketing teams dedicated to just
SEO. How can his startup business possibly compete?

On the other hand, Mary, with the same product idea, realized
the importance of keyword research.

Instead of jumping in head first without doing the proper back
ground work, she took the time to do her research to see what
keywords and markets to target before she started building her
website. Mary is a very smart girl!

Because she did keywork research, she realized that
“Weight Loss” was  impossibly competitive and far too competitive
to rank in successfully. Instead, she looked into some alternative
keyword ideas to get her foot in the door.

She found that “Nutrition” gave her a similar target market with far
less competition. She got even more specific and decided to target
 “Holistic Nutrition” as her primary keyword. The research done on
the Google KeyWord Tool told her what had lower competion but
also had good daily searches.

It still had a lot of traffic and a fair bit of competition. Some

she wouldn’t be trying to rank for that keyword initially.

Because she’s targeting  low competition keywords,  ranking for
them, she gets traffic right away instead of having to wait for
it or having to pay to get it.

And more, she’s not only getting a small amount of traffic right
away, but she’s also building her business on a solid foundation
that allows her to expand into higher traffic keywords in the
not too distant future.

Rapid Rewriter has been getting alot of buzz lately for its method of spinning articles. I didn’t really get what that was until I had a look at the inside of the site. It’s really cool!  You can take one article and change it with this spinner software to spin out different versions of your original article. The bad thing is that its not a magic article writer. You still have to come up with an article choosing, synonyms and structuring your articles, making them unique. In other word write an article, but only one!

Just a word of caution, when you buy the program the page you get looks very simple, be careful not to bypass it. Click on the link provided  on that page and they also send your particulars to your email just incase you miss it like I did.
